Nieuwe Instagramtrend doet de wenkbrauwen fronsen

In de wereld van selfies en sociale media is het voor bloggers, influencers en make-upartiesten steeds moeilijker om origineel voor de dag te komen. Ze bedenken daarom steeds gekkere en extreme dingen om op te vallen. Met de instaception-trend zijn ze zeker in hun doel geslaagd.

De beautytruc is eenvoudig: je brengt gewoon make-up aan, maar daarnaast voorzie je je gezicht ook nog van een witte rand alsof het een Instagrampost is. De rand moet eruit zien alsof het een screenshot is, voorzien van comments en likes. Beautyvlogger Dom Ski zou als eerste met instaception begonnen zijn. Het duurde ook niet lang voor ook andere beauty bloggers en influencers de trend oppikten. Ook James Charles deelde de look met zijn 7 miljoen volgers. Ga jij het proberen?

"Instagram vs Real Life" makeup - is ALL OVER the social media platform. The trend involves creating a makeup look on one part of the face, outlining it with a realistic Instagram frame, and leaving the rest of the face natural. The end result mimics a real life Instagram selfie, within another selfie. @Dom.skii started the trend last month with his post titled "picture perfect". His look, which resembled Insta-ception, has inspired other artists to try the trend. These posts are shining a spotlight on the work, lighting and possible editing that goes into creating a flawless selfie that may be difficult to recreate and helping spread the word that makeup doesn't have to be picture perfect. ?
