Cocktails halen inspiratie uit kinderliteratuur

The Blind Pig is een bar in de hippe Soho-buurt in Londen die een wel heel creatieve draai geeft aan zijn cocktails. Je vindt er namelijk alcoholische drankjes die geïnspireerd zijn door klassieke kinderliteratuur, van Harry Potter tot Winnie de Poeh.

Zo verkopen ze de Half a Pint o'Buttah, een cocktail die 10,5 pond kost (zo'n 12 euro) en zijn inspiratie haalt uit het boterbier in de Harry Potter'-boeken. The Blind Pig is gekend voor zijn innovatieve en steeds veranderende cocktail-menu. Dit laatste is alweer een schot in de roos.

This is a drink called the Languid Caterpillar. It's based on the book Alice in Wonderland which was a master piece by English mathematician Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll. This drink shows the darker side of the tale. This is a drink called 'Float like a Peach' It's based on the author Roald Dahl who has played such a part in our young lives and brings the book James and the Giant Peach to life in a cocktail.
