Het kleine dorpje Chefchaouen in het noorden van Marokko heeft iets bijzonders: alle muren zijn er azuurblauw geschilderd.

De kleine straatjes lijken net een doolhof door een combinatie van Spaanse en Marokkaanse architectuur. De blauwe traditie zou in 1930 begonnen zijn door Joodse vluchtelingen, om de hemel te symboliseren.
